Last year, supply-side companies received 528 billion rubles under programs to support SMEs within the framework of the national project, said Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.
According to him, loans to supply-side companies account for 38.5% of the portfolio of preferential loans granted in 2023. These include IT companies, manufacturing industries and the hotel business. “We work with supply-side companies because they solve the problems of economic growth,” Reshetnikov said.
According to Deputy Minister Tatyana Ilyushnikova, every third preferential lending programme is aimed at enterprises in priority sectors. According to the Bank of Russia, 3.4 trillion rubles of the total loan portfolio of SMEs is held by enterprises in the supply-side economy. Their share is more than 27%.
Ilyushnikova added that companies associated with large companies or too large for small businesses were excluded from the aid beneficiaries.
Today, SMEs have a wide range of financial support available: preferential loans, microcredits, guarantees, grants and subsidies.
