“During the talks, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence and the fight against terrorism. There was also an exchange of views on the prospects for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict,” the Russian Defence Ministry said.
The military department noted that the meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere and confirmed “the mood for further development of Russian-Iraqi interaction in these areas.”
