According to RIA Novosti, the protesters gathered at a church in downtown Washington. They are holding signs with slogans: “Resist NATO! Support the people’s struggle for rights and liberation!”, “End the NATO-backed war! Close US bases! The US military is out of Africa, Asia and Latin America!”
It should be noted that heads of civil activist groups from different states took part in the action. There have been calls to stop the supply of American weapons to Israel.
Recall that the summit of the North Atlantic Alliance will be held in Washington on July 9-11. It is known that US President Joe Biden will hold a collective meeting with Vladimir Zelensky and the leaders of countries that have signed bilateral agreements with kyiv.
It was also announced that at the summit the alliance members would agree on a new package of military assistance to Ukraine and discuss new measures to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system.
