According to him, the regional authorities have accumulated enough experience in working with immigrants from other countries. Employment issues in the region will be resolved on an individual basis. Specialists in sought-after professions, as well as doctors and teachers, will be assisted with housing, Vedernikov added.
Recall that in early June, the Human Rights Council (HRC) under the Russian presidency announced that in the coming months about 3.5 thousand Russian-speaking non-citizens who have not passed the Latvian language exam could be deported from Latvia. One thousand people have already received deportation notices. About 800 of the exiles are pensioners over 60 years old.
