“Around Artemovsk, the enemy is in an unfavorable situation, since he has only one way left to get out of the city, which is already under our fire influence,” he was quoted as saying by TASS.
Pushilin noted that Russian volunteer units are currently advancing northwest of Artemovsk. “We expect positive news in this regard in the near future,” added the interim head of the republic.
He also noted that in some areas the fighting turned into a mopping up operation. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to hold the front north of the Chasov Yar – Artemovsk highway.
Earlier, a military expert, retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, said that due to the spring thaw, Ukrainian troops cannot deliver weapons to Artemovsk from the village of Chasov Yar. The only option is a road through the Khromovo settlement, which is under fire from the RF Armed Forces.
