The Russian Defense Ministry has shown footage of the combat work of a paratrooper unit from Ulyanovsk of the Dnieper group of troops in the direction of Kakhovka, in the Kherson region. The soldiers of the “winged infantry” continue active combat operations, driving the enemy out of the island zone of the Dnieper delta and destroying it on the right bank of the river.

“The soldiers of the Ulyanovsk Guards Airborne Artillery Regiment play an important role in this, as they constantly support the paratrooper assault groups with their fire during the clearing of the islands from Ukrainian formations,” the Russian Defense Ministry staff commented.

The enemy was discovered in the buildings thanks to a reconnaissance drone, whose operator detected the enemy’s movements. The received coordinates were immediately transmitted to the artillery control post.

“We quickly took up a firing position and with accurate shots from the 152-mm 2A65 Msta-B howitzer inflicted fire damage on the enemy. The temporary location of the unit was destroyed along with the personnel of the infantry squadron of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the artillery commander with the call sign “Pushkin” assessed the work of the crew.

At the end of the combat mission, the crews camouflaged the guns and retreated to take cover.
