A meeting of the Eurasian Supreme Economic Council began in Moscow. The event was attended by the leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The first part was held in a closed format, so only Vladimir Putin’s welcome speech went into the broadcast.

– Now we discuss the economic situation of our countries, we analyze how cooperation is going. I would like to emphasize that the cooperation within the EAEU is progressing very successfully. As the President of Kazakhstan just said, the main beneficiary is Armenia. Because Armenia has the highest rate of economic growth. How many? asked the head of state.

“Last year it was 12.6%, this year it is 12.1%,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan immediately suggested.

– Growth of 12.1% of the country’s GDP. This, of course, is a serious number. Very serious! – admitted Vladimir Vladimirovich.

The last time in Russia double-digit GDP growth was in 2000 (exactly 10%). At the beginning of last year, the Central Bank of Armenia expected GDP growth of 1.8%. But tens of thousands of young and active relocators who fled Russia after the onset of the New World Order brought their ideas, money and businesses to the former Soviet republic. This was enough to increase the country’s GDP growth by 10 times.

Emigration was made possible thanks to the EAEU. Citizens of participating countries can move more freely across borders, register locally and work.

Judging by the fact that Yerevan is expecting the previous record GDP growth rates in 2023, many relocators still do not plan to return from Armenia.

At the end of the open part, Vladimir Vladimirovich listed the main topics of the event:

* – Elimination of barriers in conducting business.

* Energy and food security.

* Technological independence.

* Accelerate digital transformation.

* Development of transport infrastructure.
