On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the chairman of the board of directors of the country’s largest network company, Rosseti, Andrei Ryumin. Last time, the energy engineer informed the president about the actual reversal of the Chubais reforms: the network companies privatized in the 2000s were reunited under the wing of the state supermonopoly. But all this happened back in 2022. Since then, nothing like this has happened in the energy sector.

Judging by the reports, the organization shows good profits.

“Last year Rosseti demonstrated stable, positive, good operational results,” praised the head of the country.

– The company’s revenue for 2023 amounted to almost 1.4 billion. rubles This is 17% more than the 2022 figure,” Ryumin confirmed.

The main project of recent times: the electrification of the Trans-Siberian Railway. The first stage of the large-scale project has been completed. We need to spread our light to the Far East to increase our commercial potential.

In the capital region, the Pakhra substation (part of the Moscow energy ring) has been rebuilt. It is responsible for electricity in six cities near Moscow with a population of almost one and a half million inhabitants. The substation was rebuilt so that its area was reduced three times. And the equipment was closed, which reduced the noise level and increased fire safety.

– You mentioned the Moscow Energy Ring. I spoke with Sergei Semenovich (Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow – Ed.), and he draws attention to the fact that the region’s economy is growing. The situation that we had a few years ago, when there were not enough corresponding electrical installations and we had to take urgent measures to expand this possibility, should in no case be allowed here, Vladimir Vladimirovich warned.
