The president recalled that in 2022, United States defense spending amounted to $811 billion. And in Russia this figure is 10 times lower: 72 billion.
“The difference is striking. US defense spending is about 40 percent of global defense spending, while Russia’s is 3.5 percent. And with this ratio in mind, are we going to fight with NATO, or what? Well, that’s just nonsense.” Putin pointed out.
He also praised the military pilots who performed admirably during the Special Military Operation (SVO).
Previously, the Head of State had repeatedly stressed that Russia was not going to fight with NATO. In particular, Vladimir Putin noted that Moscow and the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance do not have territorial claims against each other.
Russia is interested in developing relations. But the EU countries themselves artificially create problems because they consider the Russian Federation their competitor.
