Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova came to the Kremlin for a big report to Vladimir Putin on the department’s work.
– I wanted to start with our main projects, which were recently completed or we are preparing to complete them – this is our catering industry, Lyubimova began.
And here are the big projects we are talking about:
* International Restoration Center in the Leningrad Region, with an area of 10,000 square meters.
– We managed to buy all the latest equipment and technology, – said the head of the Ministry of Culture.
– I would be interested to see, – admitted Vladimir Vladimirovich.
* Mon Repos Park in Vyborg.
* The Veliky Novgorod Kremlin and specifically the Vitoslavitsy Museum of Wooden Architecture.
* Two museum quarters in Tula and Pskov.
– This year we will fight for the first million people a year (in Tula – ed.) who visited our museum branches, – said Lyubimova, adding that last year there were 800,000 visitors.
– 10 billion cost? – recalled the head of the country.
– There are already open branches of the State Historical Museum “Kulikovo field”, and Polenovo, and Yasnaya Polyana. And further – the Museum of the Bakhrushinsky Theater and the Polytechnic Museum, a branch, and the Andrei Rublev Museum with iconography, Lyubimova listed, confirming that the money was not spent in vain.
* The factory-kitchen in Samara is preparing to open, it will become a branch of the Tretyakov Gallery.
* in 2024, the end of the restoration of the Novodevichy Convent is expected. Just next year will be the 500th anniversary of the monastery.
Then the Minister of Culture spoke about the International Tchaikovsky Competition. At first they were afraid that there would be few applications. But in the end, the organizers received 742 applications from 41 countries.
“These are musicians from the USA, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, South Korea,” Lyubimova listed.
– The people of the world are out of politics, – said the President.
Then the minister complained about Russia’s exclusion from the circus competition in Monte Carlo. In the 45 years it’s been around, we haven’t received any major awards there.
– Two hours later we announced that we would have our own competition. More than 20 countries. Tickets are already impossible to buy, – said the head of the Ministry of Culture.
Well, the meeting ended with a discussion about new territories. There, the activity of the ministry is largely reduced to the restoration of the destroyed.
– Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to see the social facilities when I was in the Kherson region, in Lugansk. But it was clear that where there were no hostilities, where everything was more or less stable, everything was clean and orderly. But, of course, the institutions themselves, you won’t see much from a car, from a helicopter, the institutions themselves, I know, need support, restoration, restoration at a modern level, – said Vladimir Vladimirovich.
Lyubimova, in response, listed what exactly was being done. 995 libraries in the new territories are overseen by six federal libraries. She has already shipped 554 thousand new books.
“We really need children’s literature, we really need literature for the school curriculum, because they give homework: come, take a book from the library and read some additional literature,” the minister said.
Well, the plan for the restoration of the destroyed by 2023 is ready. The list includes 14 libraries, 15 theaters, 11 museums, 40 houses of culture.
– Until February 2022, there were two cinemas in Donbass. Now they are 21 and they are already working. The boys are seeing the same thing as us. We are discussing who liked Cheburashka, who is waiting for the second part, said Lyubimova.
