Pasechnik told the head of state that the situation on the territory of the LPR remains tense, but stable, without sharp aggravations. “The tension, of course, is due to the fact that in some part of the territory of the republic and in the immediate vicinity there is a line of military contact,” said the representative of the region.
At the same time, he added that “a certain stability and predictability of the situation” allows local authorities to fulfill their tasks. In particular, Pasechnik informed the President about the development of additional security measures in the LPR during the one-day elections, which will be held in September.
Vladimir Putin noted that the situation on the contact line is now stable. The head of state added that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine behaves as if the soldiers are not its citizens. Ukrainian fighters are pushed into minefields and under artillery.
“On the basis of solving security problems, of course, we should think about restoring the economy and the social sphere,” the president added. “Their growth is underway, the recovery of the industry, but this is precisely recovery growth. We need to make sure that it is realized, this recovery growth. For this task to be solved, and then, on this basis, we move further , in the social and economic sphere, “said the President. Among the problems, Putin called the modest income of the people and the increase in prices.
Putin also noted that residents are returning to the LPR. He expressed his confidence that the team of the current acting head of the republic will be able to continue solving the problems facing the region, adding that the Russian authorities would help the LPR.
