On December 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects. In his intervention he touched on the subject of the country’s GDP, spoke of preferential mortgages, highlighted poverty reduction and outlined the most important tasks of the State for the coming year.
Russia’s six key tasks for 2023
1. Search for new partners and reorientation of energy supplies
Putin reminded that Russia needs to remove restrictions on logistics and finance, because the country will not go down the path of self-isolation, but, on the contrary, will expand interaction with everyone.
2. Strengthening technological sovereignty
– The second task for 2023 is the strengthening of technological sovereignty. The second only in numbers, – said the Russian leader.
3. Outpacing the growth of the manufacturing industry
This includes an industry that uses agricultural products as a raw material. Growth in this area will allow Russia to reach a new level.
4. Ensure the financial sovereignty of the country
Regarding the fourth point, here, as the politician pointed out, it is important to understand the importance of ensuring financial sovereignty.
– The third task is to ensure the financial sovereignty of the country. We do not need to borrow abroad, we will not submit to serfdom – Putin said.
5. The need for a tangible increase in the income of Russians.
– The growth of the economy and entrepreneurship, all this must generate powerful social incentives. And such development should lead to poverty and inequality. And in this sense, the next task is the formation of systems. This year we have achieved a reduction in poverty and inequality. Next year it is necessary to consolidate this trend, stressed the head of state.
6. Support for maternity and child protection
The last task for next year, the president called support for maternity and child protection. Furthermore, he added that this is an important task for bodies at all levels of government.
