Vladimir Putin’s congratulations to servicemen and veterans of the Special Operations Forces appeared Monday morning on the Kremlin’s website.
“You are rightfully considered the pride of the Russian army. All fighters and commanders are distinguished by the highest level of training, skill and readiness to act boldly, decisively, with lightning speed in key areas and directions,” the head of state said.
Separately, he emphasized that the special forces are ready to perform tasks in “any region of the world.” Fighters masterly use the latest equipment and weapons, and the school of military skill is based on the traditions of the Great Patriotic War and the Afghan conflict.

“They showed it in battle, even during a special military operation, fulfilling the order received to the end, covering their comrades, saving women, children and the elderly,” the president said.
Putin spoke about the role of the special forces in preparing the mobilized. Experienced soldiers help recruits with combat coordination, improve the quality of training.
“You pass on to them not only military knowledge and experience, but also your unwavering fighting spirit,” the Russian leader said.
