According to the head of state, last year more than 27,000 kilometers of roads were repaired, 1,600 kilometers were built and rebuilt. Putin outlined the task for the coming years: to bring 85 percent of the trunk road network with a length of 136,000 kilometers to the normative state.
Lists of relevant measures worth 13 trillion rubles were approved, they are designed for five years: from 2023 to 2027, the president said. In his opinion, it is important not only to fully implement the plans, but also to try to do it at a faster pace.
The President stressed that safe and high-quality roads are the basis for launching new additional investment projects in industry, agriculture, for the construction of social facilities and residential areas.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that last year in Moscow, builders put almost 92 kilometers of new highways into operation. He called the construction of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter in the section from the Businovskaya interchange to the Kosinskaya flyover the most important project of the past year. According to the mayor, in 2023 a link between MSD and the federal highway M-12 “Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan” will be opened. In addition, the formation of the Southern Rocade will be completed, and plans include the completion of the Northern alternate from Kutuzovsky Prospekt.
