The new system will contain information on insurance objects, insurers, policyholders, insured, insured events, payments, etc.
The AISS operator will be a legal entity 100% owned by the Bank of Russia. The operator will be obliged to store the information received for 10 years from the date of termination of the insurance contract (unless the insurance legislation establishes a longer period of storage of said information), as well as to provide users with the information contained in in the prescribed manner and comply with the information protection requirements established by the Central Bank.
Before the adoption of the law in Russia, there were several separate information systems for different types of insurance, each of them worked according to its own rules.
