We have already written about important laws signed by Vladimir Putin on July 24: the digital ruble, increasing the age of shares, credit holidays, etc. But the publication of the adopted documents continued around the clock, so a new batch of laws arrived on time. Here are the most significant.
PROHIBITION OF SEX CHANGE
A resonant document, the adoption of which was loudly discussed in society. Let’s briefly recall its essence: now in Russia it is impossible to officially change gender and re-issue documents from male to female (and vice versa).
Despite the fact that the creators of the document spoke about the protection of children, an exception to the rule was made only for all minors. Before the age of 18, you can change your gender for medical reasons.
There are several dozen deviations in the formation of the body, when it is definitely impossible to divide a person into a man or a woman. The sexual characteristics can be one, and the production of hormones is completely different. Or a person may have both sets of sexual organs. The deputies left the opportunity for such people to finally determine their gender with the help of medicine.
ELITE HOUSING BRIBERERS WILL BE SUPPOSED BY THE HAMMER
The government received the right to sell elite housing to bribers at auction. More precisely, we are talking about “premises obtained as a result of the commission of crimes of corruption.” The average cost of a place in mansions must be at least twice the average cost in the region.
In an explanatory note to the law, the authors complained that 140 confiscated “objects of large surface area and greater comfort” now hang on the balance sheet of the state. You can’t do anything with them. The authorities do not understand the hand of handing over an elite country house to a social lease. And it was not allowed to sell before the approval of the law.
And so the treasury will be replenished through open auctions. Anyone can buy corrupt homes, as long as the money can be found.
FINE TO FOREIGN AGENTS
The foreign agents were fined for “failure to comply with government orders.”
Foreign citizens-agents – from 30 to 50 thousand rubles, foreign officials-agents – from 70 to 100 thousand rubles or disqualification for up to two years, legal entities-foreign agents – from 200 to 300 thousand rubles.
HOMELESS ANIMALS
Now the regions themselves will be able to decide how to deal with them. But strictly within the limits of the law, that is, there should be no ill-treatment anyway.
Previously, stray animals were supposed to be captured, placed in shelters, sterilized, vaccinated, and returned to their habitats. Regions will now be able to introduce standards for the treatment of homeless animals without taking these requirements into account.
