American film producer Ryan Murphy, who created such sensational projects as “American Horror Story” and “American Crime Story”, is preparing to shoot a new series – “American Sports Story”. Deadline reports.
John Landgraf, director of the FX television channel, said the project is nearing production. According to him, a complete set of scripts for the future series by Stu Zicherman, who worked at The Psychiatrist Next Door and Alaska Daily, is already ready.
The release of American Sports History was first reported in August 2021. Then Murphy promised to release another project in the series – “American Love Story”. Both shows should become anthologies.
“American Sports History” was conceived as a miniseries that will tell about various famous events involving sports figures. For example, the pilot episode will tell the story of the rise and fall of football player Aaron Hernandez, who won the Super Bowl and was later convicted of murder and suicide.
Earlier, FX released the first trailer for American Horror Story: New York. It showed the night life of the city. We talk about it in more detail here.
