New extension in the Renfe and Talgo contract. As reported by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the two railway companies have decided to extend the maintenance contract for Talgo’s high-speed trains until 2027 for a value of 181 million euros.
For its part, Talgo has indicated that Renfe notified it of the award of this extension of the current maintenance contract on July 27. The contract covers the fleet of high-speed Talgo trains of the S130 and S730 series, owned by Renfe and operators in Spain. The company expects the contract to be signed and formalized in the coming weeks.
