Recall that on Sunday evening, fragments of a Ukrainian missile shot down by air defenses fell on a nine-story residential building in Kursk. Cars were also damaged and caught fire; the fire was quickly extinguished.
Fifteen people were rescued and 30 others were evacuated, the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations said. The department said the windows of the house were broken and the balconies were damaged, but the load-bearing structures of the building were not damaged.
As a result of the emergency, 13 people were injured, said the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov.
Mayor Igor Kutsak said that the residents of the damaged house will be sent to a temporary accommodation centre located in a rural camp.
