The head of the region, Vasily Orlov, believes that it is necessary to encourage Amur residents to switch to gas-powered transport.
“A reduction in the transport tax for such car owners can be a good support measure. We are working on the possibility of offsetting the costs of companies that buy equipment that runs on blue fuel. In addition, it is necessary to consider options for supporting to investors who are ready to start building gas stations,” the governor said.
In the Amur region, the construction of a natural gas liquefaction complex is nearing completion. It is 80 percent complete and work on the facility is planned to be completed in February. The complex will be put into operation next year. It will become an important part of the autonomous gasification infrastructure for socially significant facilities and will help develop the market for gas engine fuels in the region. There are already four filling stations in the Amur region where you can fill up a car with LNG – two in Blagoveshchensk and Belogorsk.
Remember that in addition to gasoline-powered cars, electric cars are also gaining popularity among the Far East.
