Perervinsky water supply plant lighthouse
Not the most picturesque, abandoned and even difficult to access, but the most famous – the lighthouse of the Perervinsky waterworks is located right in Moscow, not far from the Klenovy Boulevard metro station. The Perervinsky hydroelectric complex was built in the 19th century, but the city was growing, it needed more water, and in the 1930s a hydroelectric power station, locks for the passage of ships, dams and a settlement for workers were built. At the same time a lighthouse was built.
You can even rent the upper lounge of one of the lighthouses.

All this is located on the island; in addition to the hydraulic structures, there is the village of Shlyuzy. There is no free passage to the island, but the lighthouse is visible from the Kolomenskaya embankment. However, daredevils sometimes approach the structure. True, the doors of the lighthouse are boarded up, and the lighthouse itself is not used and looks abandoned. However, the lantern still shines at night.
Restaurant on the Moscow River
This lighthouse is decorative and was built as part of one of the residential complexes. There are no apartments inside, but there is a restaurant, and if you wish, you can rent the space above, where the lantern is usually located. There is a balcony with a picturesque view of the Moscow River. True, the price of renting a lighthouse starts at 20 thousand rubles. But a simple lunch, of course, will cost less, and you can admire the building for free.

But to get to this lighthouse you will have to travel far from Moscow: it is located on the outskirts of Dubna, 120 km from the capital. The structure was erected in 1937 by prisoners of Dmitrovlag during the construction of the Moscow Canal. A popular place for photo shoots, especially since you can get close to the lighthouse. But you won’t be able to go inside: the gates are locked. The height of the lighthouse is 25 meters, there are magnificent views around it, another nearby attraction is the second tallest monument in the world to V.I. Lenin.

Lighthouse in the village of Troitskoye
Perhaps the most beautiful lighthouse in the region. Yes, it is decorative and is a new version, but its appearance is impressive. Located on the territory of the Troitskoye recreation center near Mytishchi, on a high cliff. In practice, it is used as an observation deck: to enjoy a picturesque panorama, guests are willing to climb many steps along the spiral staircase.
Lighthouse on Lake Senezh
Also a beautiful lighthouse, also decorative, and also a new version. It was built in 2020, when the embankment of Lake Senezh was being cleaned. It is bright red and has a spiral staircase – a favorite place for photo shoots. You can climb almost to the top, and in the evening the lights come on – a powerful lantern lights up at the top, casting beautiful shadows around you.

By the way
This year marks 320 years since the first lighthouse was lit in Russia. The lighthouse fire was first lit on the Sovereign Bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg on April 4, 1704. At first the lighthouse was made of wood, but soon, by order of Peter I, it was rebuilt from stone. Since there were no lanterns then, the lighthouse fire was real: they burned wood in an iron container, sometimes adding coal. But the official lighthouse service appeared a century later, in 1807, when Alexander I approved the “Regulations on the maintenance of lighthouses and the personnel of the lighthouse crew.”
