“The security authorities of the republic, together with the Ministry of the Interior, discovered a cache of foreign weapons to ensure the activities of the DRG in the territory of the LPR,” explained the interlocutor of the agency.
According to him, the cache contained grenade launchers, mines with fuses and cartridges.
The source added that some of the weapons were seized, and the rest were destroyed by the explosion at the scene.
The special services periodically find hideouts in the LPR for Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage groups. So, on January 12, security forces reported a cache of saboteurs planning to carry out terrorist attacks in Lugansk, and at the end of December a cache of explosives and Russian uniforms was discovered.
