According to RIA Novosti, new food products and diets, under the general name “Donbass”, have been developed at the Federal Research Center for Nutrition, Biotechnology and Food Safety. The food packages will help the military endure harsh weather conditions, low temperatures, stress, fatigue, and lack of sleep.
The first batches of products were delivered for testing to the FMBA of Russia, the Kirov Military Medical Academy, as well as law enforcement agencies working in the war zone.
Note that in 2021, the Russian army received new daily individual rations for special forces. Unlike the previous ones, the caloric content of the new rations is 4,500 calories, while in the usual army rations 3,590.
In addition, samples of new freeze-dried products were presented at the Army-2022 forum, including nine types of multigrain, protein, and fruit and grain bars.
