RIA Novosti: New defendant in Crocus terrorist attack case left for Russia 12 years ago – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Date: October 11, 2024 Time: 18:46:26

According to him, Khamidov left for Russia with his parents. Over the past 12 years, they settled here and received Russian citizenship, the agency’s interlocutor said.

Khamidov’s uncle added that he had not seen his nephew since then and therefore could not say anything about him.

Recall that the Basmanny Court of Moscow recently extended the detention period of five defendants in the Crocus terrorist attack case until December 1. These are Shakhromjon Gadoev, Zubaidullo Ismailov, Mustakim Soliev, Umedjon Soliev and Khusein Khamidov.

Previously, these names were not mentioned in the case. However, the agency writes, it is known that in the Russian regions the defendants in the case of “financing and providing terrorist means to the perpetrators of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall” were arrested.

In August it also became known that the eleventh detainee involved in the Crocus terrorist attack case, Muhammad Zoir Sharipzoda (included in the register of terrorists and extremists), partially admitted his guilt. As can be seen from the case material, he is ready to cooperate with the investigation, partially admitted his guilt in terms of factual circumstances and only denies the qualification of the act.

The terrorist attack at a concert at Crocus City Hall occurred on March 22. As a result of the terrorist attack, 145 people were killed and more than 550 were injured.
