According to RIA Novosti, the 46-year-old figure skater has already started to move a bit.
“Before full recovery, it will still take time, but there is a positive trend. Final conclusions can be made later,” the agency source said.
Kostomarov’s hospitalization became known on January 10. He was in the intensive care unit of one of the hospitals, after which he was transferred to a clinic in Kommunarka, where doctors are still fighting for the skater’s life. According to RIA Novosti, due to necrosis, doctors had to amputate part of his leg and several fingers.
Roman Kostomarov is the Turin 2006 Olympic champion in ice dance, along with Tatiana Navka. This duo has won the World Cup twice.
