He told RIA Novosti that the Ukrainian side specifically closed the dams of the Kremenchugskaya and Dneprohydroelectric power plants in the upper reaches of the river to lower the water level.
“This indirectly confirms that Ukrainian troops are preparing to cross the Dnieper in the area of the Kakhovka reservoir,” he said, noting that Energodar and the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant could become the target of the landing force.
Earlier, Rogov said that there was a sharp increase in the intensity of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zaporozhye.
The Ukrainian army made several attempts to land troops at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, sending soldiers on boats and barges, but all attacks were repelled and the Ukrainian ships were scuttled. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are shelling Energodar and the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant with artillery, including firing at storage facilities for nuclear fuel and toxic waste.
