It is reported that the delegation of the Romanian Digitization Authority, headed by the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitization Sebastian-Ioan Burduja, arrived in Chisinau on a working visit at the invitation of the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister of Digitization.
As a result of checking one of the cars, it turned out that it was listed in the database as stolen in Italy. The car was confiscated by the border police, according to Interpol rules.
The Moldovan border guards specified that since 2010, the Romanian authorities have re-registered the car several times, and in May 2020 it was credited to the Digitization Authority’s balance sheet as a service vehicle.
Representatives of the delegation affirm that they did not have information about the theft and search of this car.
