As previously reported, this is an absolute record for the country. The previous one was received in 2017 – 135.5 million tons.
Including wheat, in 2022 104.44 million tons were harvested, 27.2% more than in 2021 (76.1 million tons).
The rye crop also increased, from 1.7 million tons in 2021 to 2.2 million tons in 2022. Barley was harvested 23.5 million tons against 18 million tons in 2021. However, the rye crop corn has decreased: in 2022 it amounted to 11.8 million tons, while in 2021 – 15.2 million tons.
The oat harvest increased to 4.56 million tons against 3.78 million tons in 2021, buckwheat – 1.2 million tons against 919.1 thousand tons. But the harvest of rice and millet decreased: rice – up to 797.5 thousand tons against 1.076 million tons, millet – up to 3.1 million tons against 3.7 million tons.
The sunflower crop also decreased to 14.5 million tons from 15.7 million tons in 2021. But the rest of the oilseeds showed significant growth: the soybean crop rose to 5.8 million tons from 4, 8 million tons, rapeseed – 4.5 million tons against 2.79 the previous year.
There is an increase in sugar beet: in 2022 41.7 million tons were harvested, while in 2021 the harvest was 41.2 million tons. The potato harvest was also higher than in 2021: 18.7 million tons compared to 17.9 million tons. 13.02 million tons of vegetables were harvested compared to 13.03 million tons in 2021.
