The Russian government is working on visa-free deals with Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and several other countries. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the State Secretary – Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Ivanov.
“Currently working on draft visa-free agreements with Mexico and Malaysia, as well as with some Caribbean island states (the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Barbados, the Republic of Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia), ”, said the deputy minister.
Corresponding agreements are also being developed with Kuwait and Zambia. In addition, the issue of increasing the visa-free period of stay for citizens from 14 to 30 days is being discussed with Hong Kong.
Ivanov reminded that at the moment, citizens of more than 60 foreign countries can enter the territory of Russia with general passports under a visa-free regime.
