The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced that it has handed over to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) all the rights to broadcast the Olympic Games in Europe from 2026 to 2032. This was reported on the site official website of the committee
The EBU and WBD have acquired the rights to broadcast the competition on television and digital platforms in 49 European countries. Russia and Belarus are not on this list.
“We are delighted to have reached a long-term agreement with two of the world’s leading media companies. The EBU and its members provide an unrivaled streaming experience reaching across Europe, while Warner Bros. Discovery represents one of the world’s largest media and entertainment companies across all genres and across all platforms,” said the IOC President Thomas Bach.
We are talking about the broadcast of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games (to be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo) and 2030, as well as the 2028 (Los Angeles) and 2032 Summer Games. will be held from July 14 to 30, 2024 in Paris, they will continue to be broadcast in Russia.
