The World Taekwondo Championship continues in the capital of Azerbaijan, in which Russian athletes also participate in a neutral state.
On Saturday, Lilia Khuzina reached the final in the weight category up to 62 kg. In the decisive match, she met with the representative of Brazil Caroline Santos. The Russian athlete achieved a well-deserved victory by winning the gold of the tournament.
This gold was the first for athletes from Russia. Previously, the team had three bronze medals, which were won by Polina Khan (up to 73 kg), Christina Adebayo (over 73 kg) and Kadyrbech Daurov (up to 74 kg).
