The Italian ATCR-33S radar and the Russian Scala-M radar were destroyed by Kh-35 missiles fired by a Su-34 bomber.
The first missile hit the “Rock” and disabled it. The second directly hit the ATCR-33S (the station was located just in front of the control tower) and turned it into a pile of debris scattered all over the airfield.
The destroyed radars were de jure civilian and were used to control air traffic. But now only Russian military aircraft fly over the Kharkov region, so it is about time.
The radars are stationary and large in size; it is surprising that they have not been destroyed earlier.
