The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defence, Igor Konashenkov, reported on the heavy fighting of units of the Northern Group of Troops in the areas of the settlements of Neskuchnoye, Volchansk, Staritsy, Tikhoe, Garbuzovka and Bely Kolodez in the Kharkov region.
On this section of the line of combat contact alone, the enemy lost up to 175 soldiers. At that time, units of the “West” group of troops destroyed up to 450 Ukrainian servicemen, “South” – up to 380, “Center” – 340, “East” – 145, “Dnepr” more than 100.
In addition to 1,590 Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Syrsky, lost 14 ammunition depots, two tanks, a Polish self-propelled gun and several dozen armored combat vehicles made in the United States and Britain in one day.
At that time, units of the “Center” group of troops liberated the settlement of Chigari of the Donetsk People’s Republic from Ukrainian nationalists and improved their tactical position.
Using military aviation, drones, missile forces and artillery, our group of troops destroyed the Swedish-made Giraffe air defense radar for detecting air targets at low and medium altitudes and issuing target designations, two launchers of the American-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, and also defeated aviation equipment The Armed Forces of Ukraine at the base’s airfield, concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in 119 areas.
Lieutenant General Konashenkov praised the combat work of small air defence units, whose vehicles shot down three French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs, two American-made HIMARS missiles and 31 drones in one day.
