According to the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, this issue has already been agreed with Tracy.
“It will take place literally at the beginning of the week. The transfer of credential copies by Ambassador Tracy is supposed to be done by me,” Ryabkov said.
As he explained, this procedure is standard.
“Every ambassador who arrives at the destination, after a certain time, to, as they say, look around and resolve the priority issues of his subsequent stay at the destination, as an act that allows him to assume his functions, sends copies of his credentials to the host country of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” said the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the US mission in Moscow announced the arrival of the new US ambassador, Lynn Tracy, in the Russian capital. Recall that Tracy, a career diplomat with thirty-five years of experience, previously served as the United States’ deputy ambassador to Moscow.
