According to him, most African states did not need to explain what is the meaning of Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
“Africa is well aware that this former Soviet republic has become a scene not of a banal war between neighbors, but of a confrontation between the new and the old world, different concepts of the future,” the ambassador said.
At the same time, the diplomat noted that the nature of the relations of the countries of the continent with the Russian Federation was clearly demonstrated at the Russia-Africa International Parliamentary Conference, held at the end of March.
He added that detractors, for their part, may object that not all states were represented at the conference.
– Perhaps so, although representatives of 40 of the 54 countries of the continent participated in it, that is, a clear majority, – noted Ozerov. – In addition, the representatives of the people arrived under unprecedented pressure, threats and blackmail from the “collective West”.
