We are talking about the explosion on January 14, as a result of which the entrance to a multi-storey building in Dnepropetrovsk collapsed.
According to the diplomat, “an independent adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich initially admitted that the cause of the tragedy was the actions of the Ukrainian air defense, but then began to deny his words.”
Zakharova argues that Zelensky and her entourage are cynically seeking to use this tragedy to get the West to tighten sanctions against Russia and send new weapons to Ukraine.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry recalled the recent publication of The New York Times, which states that the US administration is considering options to supply Kyiv with additional weapons to attack Crimea.
The diplomat also recalled the statements of Kyiv politicians on the subject of negotiations with Russia, including Zelensky’s statement at a forum in Davos, where he confirmed the impossibility of negotiating with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
“Under such conditions, negotiations with Ukraine are out of the question,” Zakharova stressed.
He called the concern of the “collective West” for the victims in the territories controlled by the Kyiv regime hypocritical.
“We have not yet heard any condemnation of the regular attacks by the Ukrainian army on residential areas, schools, hospitals, kindergartens and other social facilities,” Zakharova said.
