On Sunday, Russian tennis pair Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider won silver at the Paris Games, losing in the final to Italian pair Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini.
According to Match TV, the Russian athletes were taken to a press conference immediately after the match. And after its completion, representatives of accredited Russian media were forbidden to photograph the athletes with awards and communicate with them.
However, after Novak Djokovic’s victory, Serbian journalists had no problem taking photos with the Olympic winner.
Previously, the Olympic organizers refused to accredit journalists from the Russian Federation, and representatives of the TASS news agency were deprived of accreditation after the start of the competition.
Athletes from Russia and Belarus are competing at the Paris Olympics as neutral athletes without national flags or anthems.
