“All counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled by artillery strikes and the actions of Russian assault groups. The enemy suffered losses and was forced to return to their original positions,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In all, more than 40 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, as well as two armored fighting vehicles and three army vehicles disabled.
