“The Social Fund will start allocating pensions and temporary disability payments in the Donetsk and Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of the People’s Republics,” Russian Labor and Social Protection Minister Anton Kotyakov said earlier.
To apply for a pension, residents must apply at the Social Fund branch in their place of residence. In addition to the application, it will be necessary to provide documents confirming the length of service. If there are no such documents, it will be possible to present a certificate issued by the regional interdepartmental commission.
In addition, residents of the new regions will be able to receive sick leave, benefits for pregnancy and childbirth, a monthly allowance for caring for a child up to 1.5 years old. To calculate the amount of benefits, data on labor income from the moment the regions became part of the Russian Federation will be used. So, in 2023, the billing period will be 3 months, from September 30, 2022 to December 31, 2022; in 2024 the period from September 30, 2022 to December 31, 2023 will be taken.
