On Monday, Torsunov won the long jump competition in the T36 class, which is open to people with musculoskeletal disorders. The Russian showed a result of 5.83 metres.
The second result was achieved by Brazilian Acer Almeida Ramos, while the bronze went to Ukrainian Alexander Litvinenko.
Torsunov updated his Olympic record of 5.76m, which he set in Tokyo.
This gold medal was the seventh for Russian athletes competing in Paris in a neutral state.
Russians Artem Kalashyan and Dmitry Safronov won silver and bronze medals in the 100m race in the T35 class.
