Russian Troops Conduct Assault Operations Outside Uglegorsk Thermal Power Plant, Fighting Continues – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Date: March 29, 2024 Time: 14:26:11

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released a review on July 20, reporting that the situation is currently looking good on the front.

The Ukrainian military came out on top in the attack on the city of Sloviansk.

The assault operations in the Grigorovka and Spirny areas ended with losses for the Russian army.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian army is conducting assault operations north of Pushcha-Ungursk and on the outskirts of Uglegorsk.

The same fate befell the enemy units advancing in the direction of Nikolsky and Novomikhailovka. “The next reconnaissance in force in the Novoselovka Second area, the invaders again failed, suffered losses, and retreated,” said General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In his battle report, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that Ukrainians inflicted losses on the enemy in all directions where work on the front continues.

Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24 but failed to achieve its goals, in particular the capture of Kyiv.

Russia announced new plans on April 22 to further the special operation in Ukraine by establishing full control over the area of Donbass and southern Ukraine. This would allow for the annexation of Crimea and the movement of Russian forces toward Transnistria.

The Russian military has yet to achieve a decisive victory in eastern Ukraine.
