One of the most popular entertainment channels on Telegram advertises a resource called “Gosuslugi v Telegram” with an avatar similar to the official “Gosuslug” logo. The channel, in particular, promises to help obtain a payment of 107,000 rubles “for those born between 1946 and 1991.”
“The channel is fraudulent, by changing you can run out of money and receive a malicious program,” experts warn.
It was previously reported that scammers began using Telegram bots to trick Russians, allowing them to replace the numbers of various government agencies and services. In particular, the attackers carried out a deception plan with a landline phone number of the regional department of the FSB of Russia in the Arkhangelsk region.
Recall that, according to the data of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the volume of monetary losses of Russian citizens from telephone fraud in 2022 amounted to 14.2 billion rubles. At the same time, the maximum amount stolen at one time reached 500 million rubles.
