Employees of Russia’s FBS border service found traces of explosives in the hold of another foreign cargo ship en route from the port of Sinop (Turkey) to the port of Rostov-on-Don. Since it could have previously been used to deliver explosives to the territory of Ukraine, it was forbidden to enter the Kerch Strait and pass under the Crimean Bridge.

– On 26 July, traces of dinitrotoluene and TNT explosives were found in the cargo hold and on the surface of the lifeboat of the foreign bulk carrier WMO RIVER, en route from the port of Sinop (Turkey) through the Kerch Strait to the port of Rostov-on-Don to load grain crops. It was established that in June and July of this year the ship called twice at the Ukrainian seaport of Reni (Odessa region), the details were reported to the FSB of Russia.

The employees of the department decided to prohibit the passage of the ship under the navigable arc of the transport that crosses through the Kerch Strait with its subsequent departure outside the territorial sea of Russia.

It should be noted that since the second terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which occurred on July 17, a second civilian vessel with traces of TNT, which, within the framework of international agreements, was transporting grain from Ukraine to Turkey, has already been identified.

Recall that on July 22, traces of dinitrotoluene and tetril explosives were found in the hold of a foreign cargo ship en route from Turkey to the port of Rostov-on-Don to load grain crops. Signs of third-party interference in the structural parts of the bulk carrier were also revealed.

This may mean that the explosives were carefully concealed and foreign civilian ships with Ukrainian crews were used to deliver explosives to the territory of Ukraine. This confirms once again that under the guise of the “grain deal”, explosives were regularly delivered to Ukraine through Russia’s territorial waters.

Russia’s FSB said the complex of control and verification measures regarding ships passing through the Kerch Strait will continue to prevent terrorist and sabotage actions.
