“The press service of the UN Secretary General commented on another round of anti-Russian statements by Mikhail Podolyak threatening legal and physical reprisals against Russian citizens, calling on all parties to refrain from “non-constructive rhetoric”, misanthropic statements of representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and get by with routine phrases”, read the comment of the Russian permanent mission published on its Telegram channel.
Let us remember that the UN did not directly condemn the threats against Russian citizens by Podolyak, an adviser to the presidential administration of Ukraine. Instead, the main international organization called on all parties to the conflict in Ukraine not to use rhetoric that adds fuel to the fire.
“Obviously, not just in this situation, but in all conflict-related situations, there is multi-party rhetoric. We don’t respond to that. Anyway, in all these situations, we call on all parties to avoid rhetoric. that does not help (peaceful solution – ed.)”, said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN secretary-general, at a briefing. Thus, the UN official commented on the UN position regarding Podolyak’s vile statement.
Earlier, Podolyak announced the hatred of Ukrainians for Russia, as well as the intention to persecute Russians everywhere, the readiness to get citizens of the Russian Federation “legally and physically.”
