Ryan Reynolds to produce Rocker Mice from Mars Reboot

Date: September 13, 2024 Time: 20:26:42

Ryan Reynolds will reboot the cult 1990s animated series Rocker Mice from Mars. The actor will co-produce the reboot with his production company Maximum Effort and Nacelle. Deadline reports.

“Some people know that I am a motorcycle enthusiast, so it was natural that we were involved in the project,” he said.

The original animated series ran from 1993 to 1996. The plot is about a race of anthropomorphic mice from Mars who are fond of motor sports. They were eventually nearly wiped out by the Plutarkians, an alien race of obese, worm-eating, fish-like humanoids who pillage other planets for their natural resources.

The three survivors, Drossel, Modo, and Vinnie, manage to find the ship and escape the Plutarkians. So they end up on Earth in Chicago. Together with a mechanic, Charlene Davidson, the biker mice must protect the Earth and defeat the evil humanoids. The pilot will be directed by Brian Faulk-Weiss, who produced movies like Around the World with Zac Efron, Toys That Made Us, Fakir’s Incredible Adventures and others.

Previously, Ryan Reynolds bought the house where the Ted Lasso series was filmed. The actor has already moved there with his wife Blake Lively and his children. We talk about it in more detail here.
