Kering and Gucci have revealed the name of the new creative director of the Italian brand: Sabato de Sarno. In this position, he replaced Alessandro Michele, who stepped down in November of last year. WWD writes about it.
De Sarno’s first show will take place in September during Milan Fashion Week. He will report to the brand’s president and CEO, Marco Bizzarri.

De Sarno grew up in Naples. The designer began his career at Prada in 2005, then moved on to Dolce & Gabbana and then joined Valentino in 2009, where he eventually took over as design director for the men’s and women’s lines.

Gucci CEO François-Henri Pinault previously revealed that Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri will remain in his role following Alessandro Michele’s departure.
