Reyes Maroto and Carolina Darias, given that both are running as candidates for the mayoralty of Madrid and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the May elections. Sánchez closes the government crisis – the fifth of the current legislature – with only two changes in the Executive, as he promised to do. Specifically, he has appointed José Manuel Miñones Conde, until now a Government delegate in Galicia, Minister of Health, and Héctor Gómez Hernández, from Maroto’s team, Minister of Industry.
With these changes, the coalition government intends to reach the end of the legislature, that is, until the general elections that Sánchez plans to call at the end of the year, thus exhausting his mandate. The latest government crisis has not affected any of the ministers of the coalition partner, United We Can, despite the latest friction with the socialist wing of the Executive.
