The engineer sapper regiment received a request to neutralize minefields and remove explosive objects from a certain area of the area.

The Russian Defense Ministry has shown footage of the combat work of sappers from the Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the Dnepr group of troops in the Orekhovsky direction of the special operation. The soldiers cleared the area, which was mined by Ukrainian militants using drones.

“The engineering regiment received a request to neutralize minefields and remove explosives from a certain area of the area that had been remotely mined by nationalists: the mines were dropped here using unmanned aerial vehicles,” Russian Defense Ministry personnel said.

During the engineering reconnaissance, the soldiers found not only anti-personnel mines dropped by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also anti-tank mines.

“Their sophistication in this regard is very high, because they use various types of ammunition, mines and homemade weapons, self-propelled guns in completely different and unexpected places and designs,” the commander of a technical platoon with the call sign “Rostov” described the enemy.

Rostov also said that when clearing land before night attacks on the opporniks, sappers in the Northern Military District work in complete darkness. They do not use flashlights, radios or other sound sources in order to move as quietly and unnoticed as possible.

According to the military, this increases the chances of completely clearing the indicated area in a timely manner.
