Sarah Jessica Parker commented on Kim Cattrall’s appearance in “And just like that…”

Date: June 17, 2024 Time: 04:54:43

Sarah Jessica Parker has spoken for the first time about Kim Cattrall’s appearance in the Sex and the City spinoff And Just Like That. The actress is quoted by Deadline.

Parker, who plays the series’ lead character, Carrie Bradshaw, shared: “We thought very carefully about how we approach characters that didn’t exist. [в первом сезоне]. And it was, you know, a lot of fun, exciting, and of course, there was a lot of nostalgia.”

Although Parker and Cattrall played best friends for several seasons of Sex and the City, outside of the series their relationship couldn’t be called friendly. It is believed that the actresses’ disagreements became the reason for Kim’s refusal to participate in “And just like that…”. And for the second season, Cattrall filmed separately from the main cast and did not contact other actors.

Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte, clarified that Samantha’s appearance will not go beyond one scene. She added that the creators only wanted to “give the audience something of Samantha” because “people miss her.”

Parker and Cattrall’s rocky relationship has been the source of countless rumors. Cattrall went public with the dispute in 2018 after Parker offered condolences over the death of her brother. Cattrall also stated that Parker was a “violent” person. “You are not my family. You’re not my friend.”

Recall that the second season of the series “And so…” will premiere on June 22 on the streaming service Max (the new name of the HBO Max platform). The sequel will have eleven episodes.
