Preparing for an opposition is not an easy task: it requires effort, dedication and sacrifice to get a public job offer. So much so, that not all candidates can study and work at the same time, which means, in some cases, a lack of income. Hence the importance of financial aid for the preparation of opinions whose regulatory bases have been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). But these can only be chosen by those who meet a series of requirements.
The objective of these benefits is to cover the expenses that an opponent has to face if he wishes to become an official. Specifically, the order explains that the aid is intended to “eliminate socioeconomic barriers that prevent or hinder the preparation of applicants for admission to these careers and bodies.” That is why it is about scholarships whose amount will be set in each call, which will have an annual periodicity.
The BOE also states that the amounts may “be subject to advance payment, delivering the funds prior to carrying out the subsidized activity.” For their part, the beneficiaries have the obligation to justify the expenses of the activity, therefore, from the month in which the scholarships are paid, they must present a ‘simplified supporting account’ on a quarterly basis.
Who can apply for aid for opponents
Through the Center for Legal Studies, the Ministry of Justice, led by Pilar Llop, establishes that the granting of scholarships is determined, to a large extent, by the income level of the applicants, in order to attract talent to the professions indications Thus, these aids are only addressed to opponents of the Judicial and Fiscal Careers, the Corps of Lawyers of the Administration of Justice and the Corps of State Lawyers.
In order to become a beneficiary, it is necessary to request the benefit through the Electronic Headquarters of the Ministry of Justice: on that same website, once the request is approved, justification of compliance with the scholarship must be made. It should be taken into account that the scholarships are awarded directly to the opponents to cover their expenses.
In turn, you cannot enjoy these aids if you simultaneously receive subsidies or aid granted by other administrations or public or private entities for the same purpose.
What are the requirements to request the opinions scholarships
Scholarship applicants for the Judicial and Prosecutor Careers, the Judicial Administration Body of Lawyers and the State Lawyers Body must meet the following requirements:
Not incur in the circumstances provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. Not receive other aid or subsidies for the same purpose, from public or private entities. last call for access to the Judicial and Prosecutor Careers, to the Body of Lawyers of the Administration of Justice or to the Body of State Lawyers, respectively.
With respect to the specialized center, it is the one that is publicly dedicated to the preparation of the opinions to which the scholarships are directed. Regarding the preparers, this refers to the people who direct the process, who are not direct relatives in the first degree, by consanguinity or affinity of the applicant and who are members of the Judicial or Prosecutor Career, of the Lawyers Corps of the Administration of Justice or the State Lawyers Corps, or jurists whose professional career makes them solvent to carry out this activity.
